doodlebug Do you know how much the fee is? I've asked the same question from the legit group on fb and they said it might cost $20 per additional item :/ dreamstroue do you know by chance if there's a fee for canceling the shipment before the items arrive to the warehouse? ;o

rikane94 No clue about the cancellation, but if you specify shipping in advance, this is what their FAQ says: From one Q: And from another Q: As previously mentioned, it looks like they do charge a fee for it... However, it might be possible that you can cancel before all items in your previously specified shipment arrive to the warehouse? It's not in the FAQ, and idk if any of us instruct packing beforehand, so it's hard to say :/

rikane94 nope this is what it says if I want to instruct my shipment before my item arrives I know I haven't payed any fees for canceling before all my items have arrived. I think the fee is only for when the items have arrived

vivbot192 thank you for doing all of the research for me xD Actually, I just received FromJapan's enquiry back and they told me that there would be no fees for cancellation if all of the items hasn't arrived yet. So yes, you're right haha I just cancelled my items today, added my new item to a new shipment list, and I didn't get any fees for it! dreamstroue you were right from the start thank you so much <3 I was just waiting for FromJapan's response to make sure. Now I'm just gonna have to suck up the shipping fees again FML I'm hoping this is really the last time (for now) I get my collection items from YJA lol

Can sellers extend the bidding time? I was bidding on Leo's Darkest Angels card + cd and the time just kept on extending making it possible for the other bidder to outbid me twice. I've had the listings suddenly move 5 minutes right before ending but not like this. This is so annoying ...

meeltje2951 yeah it's called an extended auction so if a bid is made within the last 5 mins the auction is extended by 5 mins. It will only end if no-one else bids in the last 5 mins.

Hello everyone ^^
I sincerely apologize if I'm coming off a bit rude, but I hope someone will be able to help me? I've skimmed through this entire thread and have been able to come to a general conclusion of my own about the different service providers available for ordering from YAJ. However, can someone kindly make a simple comparison list/chart between the websites, listing the pros/cons of each? I think it will be very helpful for everyone as future reference ^^ I'm primarily interested in seeing the comparison between FromJapan and Japamart especially (since I've noticed that many people have switched form Japamart to FromJapan XD), but I would appreciate any information from any other websites greatly!
Thank-you to anyone who replies to my question in advance!

I bought Yesung Phonograph candy + card last month but it still hasn't arrived to FJ's warehouse. I contacted FromJapan about it and today I suddenly got a refund and when I checked the item was removed from my account. I didn't get a e-mail explaining why so I'm really confused. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm not really mad about it as I managed to get the card in another listing as well nor am I complaining about getting a refund, I just thought that it was weird.
Edit: I just got a mail saying that the seller did not want to deal with a proxy service so they refunded the money to me. It's strange that this took so long; usually it immediately gets cancelled after the item has been 'won'. Ah well, at least I got my money back :3

There are quite a few things missing from this table so if anybody wants to contribute to this it would be much appreciated. I've not much experience with fromjapan as i've just used japamart in the past (how much money have i thrown away, my god). I'll update this post as I do more research. ( There are reasons to use both as some sellers on YAJ won't allow bidding from one service but will from the other. I've personally tested this). As far as features go they're both pretty much identical other than fromjapan offering a service (for 150 yen per order) where they check your items once they receive them for consistency/damage with the original YAJ auction as well as a shipping service advertised as 'Up To FJ' where fromjapan's staff choose the most efficient shipping method taking into consideration size of shipment + speed + price + misc (what). Up To FJ can't be canceled. It's also advertised as being different depending on who's working. From the information i've gathered thus far there's literally no reason not to use fromjapan with there being point benefits that rack up as you spend money that give you discounts on shipping in addition to the obvious commission fee difference.

no one has posted here in a long time but I thought I should leave my questions anyway . . . I'm thinking of trying to use YAJ for some japanese cards I'm missing but I've never done it before. I think I understood most of it by reading this thread (thanks to everyone for the useful tips and tutorials ♡) but I've seen a lot of people complaining about fromjapan/buyee/japamart lately. What's the best proxy service to right now? should I go with zenmarket? edit one: I've decided to go with zenmarket, everything has gone smoothly so far and the fees and payments are reasonable for me. I'll edit this again once I receive all my items! edit two: I don't know if this will be useful to anyone but I've finally received my first zenmarket package and I'm really happy with their service, so here's a little review! - their website is easy to navigate through, their service fee is only ¥300 and there's no minimum deposit. - they included tracking number on my packages even though I chose the cheapest shipping option. - everything was super nicely bubble wrapped and packaged overall, the items came in mint condition. - their costumer service is also quick and they have all the information you need on the site. - like I said previously their shipping fees and whatnot are super reasonable. - for those living in europe, they let you pick what value you want written on the box so you don't get taxed by our crazy customs. I give them 5/5 stars. it was my first time using a proxy service so I was sort of scared but this was an amazing first experience ! ♡

So, FJ has changed their fees. Did someone made an overall on how they charge now? From what I could gather from my previous transaction, as I only got one item, it charged me with the Insurance Plan I chose + I didn't get any domestic shipping charges, so it went down to the shipping fee for the package and it granted me the total. Now that I have a few items waiting for charge 2, to combine shipping they charge an extra ¥500 yen. So it's your usual ¥300/¥700yen plan per item, ¥500 to combine shipping, domestic shipping (when applied) and the shipping fee itself. Members rank has slighetly discounts on the shipping price. The changes for me is that now all their fees are gather on the insurance plan chose and the added ¥500 to combine items, right? Before you payed a ¥200 comission fee plus 5% on charge 1. Charge two added the Bank Tranfer fee. For me, the shipping method didn't come with insurance, so I had to add ¥430 for it. So, overall, as someone pointed out, if you choose the simple insurance plan, for ¥300, you don't get tracking number nor anything. It really doesn't pay off for the low value items. I don't know how much this will get for a single item, as it used to be - for me, who lives in South America - damn expensive. (I took the liberty to edit the old table, if it's not okay, please feel free to ask me to delete it.)

I'm not sure if this would be the place to ask this (please let me know if I should post it elsewhere!) but has anyone ever had an item get lost on the way to the warehouse before? I bought a Nine Muses album though Zenmarket and it still hasn't arrived at the warehouse yet. It's been about a month since I bought it. I even had a package that I made with purchases after that album and it has already arrived at my house and yet the album still isn't even at the warehouse. I'm not sure if I should wait longer or what~
