Question about FromJapan - Am I allowed to refund the money that I deposited in my account? I wanted to buy this anime shirt using their service so I deposited the max amount I wanted to use a day before but FromJapan sent me an email after the auction ended stating I failed my snipe bid. I was so pissed but good thing no one bought it and it's now back for bidding again but for a lower price so I'm going to use another proxy service instead. >.<

tr1pl3j I've noticed all of my snipe bids with FJ have failed too (idk why, can't decide if it's a glitch or what), so I usually just use real-time for them and snipe with another proxy >< But yeah you can have them Release Deposit and it'll go right back into your paypal, pretty much immediately

Does anyone know how fromjapan points work? When do I get them? What do they do? How do I redeem them? Thanks~

Yixing usually you get them when they have sales (like currently) when your packages ship, the items you buy during the sale give you points. You can use them as payment for things like shipping etc. I don't fully understand it myself but that's the general gist that I read about it.

Yixing Yup, what Zoe said! I've redeemed mine when I pay for Charge 2 (never have enough to bid with them haha), there's an option of "pay partially with FJ points," so it's kind of like redeeming cdjapan points except not as satisfying

I won some auctions from the same seller with Japamart 2 weeks ago but they have yet to send me any invoices for those. Should I contact Japamart about this? I don't want to ship them separately from my other stuff just because the seller forgot to invoice me or something oTL

I have a quick question, even though I'm pretty sure this has been answered already. FromJapan is cheaper than Japamart on terms of fees and stuff? And does FJ combine every items you win together so you pay only once for the shipping? I found out Japamart does that too, but only if it's from the same seller and if you win the auctions on the same day. That's so... ugh

Another Question about FromJapan - I think this has been answered before but I can't find it anymore.....so I bought a couple of items from YAJ using FJ's service but I wanted to know if I could change the total value of my package? I don't want to pay for custom fees because my overall total is going to be $500. OTL I told myself I would not use FJ's proxy service anymore but I couldn't resist the cheap fees. >.<

doodlebug Thank you for letting me know. I was stressing about it last night and I couldn't sleep just imagining the fees I had to pay. @_@

Hi guys! This is my first time buying stuff from Japan auction sites haha.
I recently won a fan and a postcard with FromJapan - I'm at the bit where they ask me to choose the preferred shipping method and packaging options. Has anyone tried 'regular packaging' which I'm presuming is the cheapest one... what is regular packaging exactly, is there any protection?

seluxings I almost always do regular packaging with FJ, it's basically sufficient protection for stuff not to bend or break during shipping (like stiff cardboard, plastic sleeves, and bubble wrap), but without going overboard so that it bumps up shipping costs. I think options for extra packaging are more for fragile things like dishware, so you should be good with Regular!
