Quick question for those who use FromJapan...I know it's going to differ between sellers but how long realistically should I be waiting for stuff to get from the seller to the warehouse??
I only ask because I bought something on 29th Dec and it still isn't at the warehouse and I have a few other things I bought on the 3rd and they still aren't there yet.
I did message FJ asking and they gave a vague reply.
Also when should I be thinking about getting hold of FJ to ask whether an item could be lost on the way to them?
Sorry for all the questions haha

hello~ i have a few questions about fromjapan and i was wondering if anyone could help me out ;; W ;;
1. for adding funds from your paypal to fromjapan do you need to have the money in your paypal balance?
2. how much money would you recommend putting into you account at a time?
and then i also found a bunch of stuff while searching through yja's website but im not sure how to watch/bid on them through fromjapan's site
thank you in advance!

seulgi I'm not an expert but as long as your paypal is attached to a bank or a card it should go through and i recommend about 2,000 yen ~ 20 dollars at least I have a question for everyone, on fromjapan can you change shipping options after choosing one? Because i chose fedex but i have no idea how much it will be or if i can change it

Hello! I'm so sorry if this has been asked before on this thread or anywhere else, if so, please spray me with cold water lmao but, here's the thing. I was about to bid on an item until I scrolled down a little and saw the "対応しません" which means that the seller does not ship internationally. The thing is, I then checked a bunch of other bids, to see if they also said that and, well, the thing is they ALL say that which means none of them ship internationally.. ok that's cool but it makes me think, I bought something in the past and they probably also said that they didn't ship internationally (back then, I didn't check that mark) but I still got my item... Ok, basically, my question is; does the "does not ship internationally" mark actually matters? I have a feeling the majority of the sellers on the site do not ship internationally but as overseas buyers we can still buy and receive those items. Maybe that question sounds completely ridiculous but I really wanted to ask, because I never bothered scrolling down on a bid before that and never noticed that "does not ship internationally" mark so it bothers me now Q__Q

sxnghyuk If you chose FedEx as your 'preferred' shipping method when you requested shipping, you can still change it when you receive the charge 2 form. chwevernon I wouldn't say that it matters really, since they are shipping it to FromJapan which is in Japan. I've had that on pretty much all of my items, and I still get them. ^^

(this is all super late omg but hopefully there's some helpful stuff in here xD think I use Buyee and fromjapan way too much...) Hoeseok If you select multiple items and proceed to shipping directly from there, Buyee will charge you separately. There should be a button for Consolidating packages -- once you choose that and select all the items you want shipped in the same package, it only takes about 1-2 business days for them to let you know what the total EMS cost will be. doodlebug All my FJ item arrivals range 3-10 business days after winning/payment, though I do have one item that hasn't arrived in more than 1 month... I'm trying to figure out if I chose the "more expensive shipping" before I contact them though, since idk if they can do anything if you go with the cheapest shipping and it gets lost :/ You could try asking them to contact the seller to see if the item was shipped in the first place? seulgi (1) As long as your paypal is connected to a bank or card, nope! Though, if it's withdrawing directly from a bank account, you want to make sure you have enough to cover it at the time of deposit (or at least within 2 days). (2) For FJ, I always put in enough to cover the [bid amount] + [200 yen fee] + [5% of bid amount]. For example, if the item is 1000 yen, I'll deposit at least 1250, but usually 1500 just in case. (3) If you copy the YJA auction ID number to the search bar FJ has on the right side of their homepage, FJ's version of the auction page will show up and you can bid/watch on items from there, as long as you're logged in They actually recently revamped so bidding is easier to visualize. sxnghyuk Almost 100% positive I selected a specific shipping option the first time when I requested package consolidation, and they still made me choose again before paying for Charge 2. As long as you haven't paid for shipping from FJ to you yet, you should be able to change it! Usually now I just go with the "any shipping" option or whatever it's called, and I wait til the actual costs are available before I choose and pay. (I hope that makes sense orz) chwevernon I think that just applies to people not using proxies or other buyers (prob in Asia) that can bid directly through YJA? As long as you're having stuff sent to a Japanese shipping address, that shouldn't matter. It's also possible they sell on multiple sites, and since some of those do allow international shipping, they're just covering their bases. I wouldn't worry about it ^^

Vanilla v Fromjapan is usually the cheapest for me after commission fees and bank transfer fees! ^^ (As for your 2nd question, I've never used japamart so I can't tell you what would the cheapest shipping from them would be, but there are plenty of forum member who can probably tell you!)

Vanilla v for me it depends on how much I need to ship on FromJapan. Most of the time SAL is the cheapest and gets to you in perfectly fine condition. Other times FedEx or EMS is cheaper but with those it's hit or miss if I get hit with customs charges so I try and use SAL if I can.

Vanilla v sometimes EMS is cheaper but when your package is heavy,then other shipping options would be cheaper ^^ but if you want to avoid customs, do not choose EMS xD ~~~~~ Question for Japamart users. If I choose SAL or other options on my shipping request, can I still change it after they give me an invoice for the shipping fee? I usually choose EMS because it's usually $10-$17 only and it arrives in a week.. but my last package was held by customs (and I had to go to their main office which is sooo far from me ㅠㅠ) and I paid taxes. ;;

Vanilla v i used japamart at first for buying on YJA. but as many people here recommended FJ, i quickly tried using FJ and i think it was cheaper indeed. and longer storage period too the site navigation at japamart is better indeed
