Could an opinion on something - I run a thread for a girl group (Neonpunch) that just announced they're going to disband, but 3 of the 5 members are going to continue as a new team (XUM). I'm not sure when XUM will debut. Should I mark the current thread completed (since it is up to date and Neonpunch as a group will not be promoting) and then let someone else or possibly myself start the XUM thread when they actually debut, or should I do what I did for Dreamcatcher/Minx and perhaps change the title to XUM / Neonpunch (the new and old name) and continue to update this old thread whenever we get new content for XUM? I feel like there are good reasons for both options, so any thoughts on this are appreciated. |

I agree with you, so perhaps I'll wait to update the thread as "completed." Initially, XUM was just supposed to be a sub-unit of the 3 members, but now the agency is saying they'll redebut as XUM vs. it being a sub-unit of NeonPunch. The sub-unit was also supposed to be come out in May, but it was pushed out with COVID. Now that NeonPunch has officially disbanded, I feel like there is a chance their agency will add new members to XUM, if we ever get promotions at all... So, I suppose I'll just wait. I'll add a notice to the thread that NeonPunch has disbanded and 3 of the members are to debut as XUM, but can see if any other changes come and decide if a new thread is needed then. |
