doodlebug i agree what you said and think its a good idea too! for people not to take on lots of new work. the BTS thread hasnt been updated basically at all for anything non albums (taiwan/musters/ dvds/summer package /fanmeet&concerts/tour cards/sgs&fanclubs/and more etc. etc. etc. ) since it was taken over from the last owner everything is just listed but nothing has been updated at all or any pictures added for anything. and thread owner has been saying they would update it since they took it over in june?? but is not actually doing it. multiple people have inquired about it and this is the same for some other threads. i think maybe opening to many threads is looking to be too much work especially without updating ones that have already been up for a looong time without updates . i can help with some pictures and stuff for a few groups and for non album if the owners need help too bc i know it helps others too when its updated!  thanks again for all thread owners for all the work they do and i hope nobody takes more than they can handle. maybe there should be some sort of limit to the numbers of threads one person can have going? like just a handful or something? quality over quantity, maybe that would help people focus on the ones not being updated and keep them from changing hands so often? i dunno but anyways thanks again for everything thank you so much !.

yunhosteddy Yes I agree that a limit to how many threads someone can have will be in place. I haven’t decided a number yet but it will be between 5-10 (10 only be given the ok if I can see that threads are regularly maintained by that person) In regards to the BTS thread sugakookiejongtae is in charge of that thread. Ashley will this thread actually be updated soon? I think if everyone can help out in providing resources such as pictures of any extra into that can help the thread creator that would be awesome. I want everyone to have input equally & for no-one one person to have complete control over a thread if that’s makes sense (I know what I’m trying to say in my head XD) And yes thanks so much to all the thread owners, your hard work is truly appreciated.

I think it’s also important to note that bigger groups that are constantly releasing merchandise and goods (like BTS or like SM artists who release special goods all the time, or JYP artists like TWICE) are really not a feasible task for one person. Those will definitely be threads where contributions will need to be made by the community rather than just expecting one person to be able to find information and pictures for every single thing. It might be nice to consider if there’s any way we can create a system for working together on the bigger ones.

When it comes to larger groups with tons of merch, I think for now, the best answer is to still have people post things they find that are missing from the thread in the comment section, since more than one person editing the OP could be a problem. I also think that people taking those groups should be realistic when it comes to those threads - it's a photocard forum, you don't need to include every piece of non-photocard merch in your thread, as nice as it may be for collectors.

milkteamoonbeam I have no issues with you taking over the Loona thread providing you can keep up with maintaining your others threads. If they aren’t kept updated regularly then I am at liberty to take it off you and give it to someone else but as I said as long as you can keep all of your threads maintained I’ve no issue.

For the BTS thread it was out of date by a couple of years before I took it over. As the album pcs are the most important, I have focused on those; however, I am working on several of the non-album items (should have the pcs added this weekend). yunhosteddy Please keep in mind for them, they are a constant work in progress and some non-album stuff may be missed. I have stated on the thread already that any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated. Especially when it comes to non-album items. Non-album stuff is not always easy to find photos for let alone good photos. This goes for all groups, especially older or smaller groups. Also, I don't think a the thread owner should have to include non-album items unless they want to or there is a high enough demand for them (BTS is obviously one of the ones in demand). |

The Everglow thread hasn’t been updated for the latest comeback, but I believe there was a comment about the owner DMing an admin?

Just tossing in my 2 cents as a longtime member and someone that handled a couple group lists when those groups were in their prime: 1) I always appreciate posts letting me know something new has come out or offering photos! I'm usually too pooped when I get home from work nowadays to do a lot of research into releases or take pics of cards, UNLESS it's a group I actively collect for. Which relates to the next point... 2) I only took on the groups I hardcore collected for (i.e. all members) -- it made it A LOT easier because I was already looking for and pre-ordering everything. There's only one group right now that I'd even consider volunteering to take over for atm, because I'm that focused on them. 3) Since this has been brought up -- I personally have included non-cards in lists, but only because they were randomized inclusions or bonuses that replaced photocards for that particular release anyway. I do agree that this should be at the discretion of the OP, though, because it can get real unwieldy, real fast. 4) Gentle reminder that the forum was started as a safe place to help facilitate trading/etc. and the lists were created as a helpful resource that people volunteer to manage. I'd like to think we do it because we enjoy it and truly want to help the community, so please don't be too demanding if the list is just a list when you're expecting full-blown templates. I feel like we started adding photos mainly when companies started making multiple album versions and more than one card per member anyway OTL doodlebug Take your time! You really do everything around here T^T I'm not on every day, but lmk if there's anything I can do to help, even if it's small <3 |

doodlebug If it helps, these are the forums I run 1Team Argon Black6ix BTS Imfact NOIR NU'EST ONF Pentagon Red Velvet SHINee SuperM I also add a lot of PCs to the VAV thread (about to add the concert postcard) All album information should be up to date for all of the groups. I am still working on finding a few of the CD Plates that had broken links for Pentagon, but once I do, they will be readded (left placeholders for them). If anyone finds Jian's Japanese Revolt photocard, please let me know. It is the only one I can't find. I added more photos for non-album items to the BTS and SHINee threads yesterday; however, their non-album stuff will continue to be a work in progress. If anyone can provide photos or information for any of the non-album items that are missing, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I was looking and was like ummm I am going to help you out by just giving you my list lol If you need help, I am willing to go through some of them in about 30-45 minutes. I collect a lot of groups (60+), so I will be able to spot a lot that haven't been updated or those that are. |
